Classic Story Maps, previously known as ESRI Story Maps, is a digital map-making tool that allows you to create 2D or 3D custom maps for digital storytelling. You can add text, photos, and videos to create an interactive narrative that’s easy to publish and share.
Classic Story Maps is part of ArcGIS Online, so you’ll need to create an ArcGIS account before you can create a story map. You’ll want to make sure you create a public account as it’s free and allows you to create and share basic maps. By creating an ArcGIS Online account, the maps you make will be hosted securely by ArcGIS online.
