Things to Know
WordPress is highly customizable, with thousands of different themes and plug-ins that can change the way your site looks and functions, but the basic building blocks of any site are posts and pages. Posts show up in chronological order on your site (like a Twitter or Instagram feed), whereas pages are static.
When writing blog posts, you can adds tags to your posts, or group them in categories to help them be more organized on your site. You can also use categories as menu items on the front page of your website for easier navigation.
When editing a post or a page with WordPress’s block-based editor, Gutenberg, it is easy to add headings, paragraphs, galleries for images, links to other sites, and much more.
